Below is a list of apps or Google Chrome plugins that can help you with various elements of productivity. Some are free and some have free versions with limited functionality.
Sharing Information
Google Keep – Captures notes, share them with others, and access them from your computer, phone or tablet.
Freeplane -A free and open-source software application that supports thinking, sharing information, and getting things done at work, in school and at home.
EverNote – A powerful note-taking application.
Focus apps
Forest – A study timer whichhelps people to reduce phone use during those focus sessions.
StayFocusd – A site & app blocker which helps you focus by restricting the usage of blocked apps.
Cold Turkey – A free website blocker designed for studying or focusing on work
OneSec – An app which puts a pause in before an app starts, allowing you time to reconsider opening it.
Freedom – “The world’s best” website and app blocking package.
To-Do Apps
Microsoft To Do – A o-do app integrated into Office365.
Todoist – A task manager and to-do list app.
Organisational software
Trello – A visual work management tool that empowers teams to work together in a collaborative way.
Asana – A software-as-a-service platform designed for team collaboration and work management.
Artificial Intelligence apps – Meeting transcriber that gives transcripts, automated summaries, action items, and chat
Grammarly – Personalized AI guidance and text generation on any app or website.
Notion – A tool that blends your everyday work apps into one.
ChatGPT – a free-to-use AI system.
Taskade – an AI suite of productivity tools.
Goblin Tools – a collection of small, simple, single-task tools, mostly designed to help neurodivergent people with tasks they find overwhelming or difficult
Wellbeing apps
How we Feel – a free app created by scientists, designers, engineers, and therapists to help people better understand their emotions
Belly Bio -a biofeedback app that monitors your breathing when you rest your device on your belly. It plays music, sounds reminiscent of ocean waves, and more while you relax.
Relax – A package of mindfulness resources, including ‘Deep Sleep meditation’.
Nothing Much Happens – A podcast of relaxing stories to help you sleep.
