Support for ADHD in the workplace
Access To Work (A2W) is a UK Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) scheme that provides support for people who need it, to enable them to be effective in the workplace. You do not necessarily have to have a diagnosis of ADHD to apply, but with a diagnosis of ADHD you will qualify for support.
Both employed and self-employed people can apply.
Support of up to £62,900 per year is available to support people with a physical or mental health condition or disability to take up or stay at work.
An A2W grant can be used to pay for practical support in the workplace, such as:
- ADHD coaching
- Institutional training for your colleagues or line managers on ADHD
- Practical support and equipment in your workplace including adapting equipment to make it easier for you to use, organisational or mind-mapping software, noise-cancelling headphones, computer hardware, flexible working hours and much more.
Being awarded A2W funding does not affect any other benefits you may already be in receipt of, and if you apply in the first 6 weeks of starting a job, the items purchased belong to you and not your employer.
James can provide both ADHD coaching and Institutional training on ADHD. For quotes for these services please contact jbhdltd@gmail.com.
